A very sweet story told over several years of how two old friends separated by tragedy find each other again. Very heartbreaking but a really beautiful story. The author really GETS the motivations of everyone- the children, the teenager, the young adult, and the parent. Very hard to do and very often unsuccessful in other FF.
Also, one of the few stories that didn’t hit any of my peeves: unnecessary angst or conflict, annoying Alice, long drawn out situations, etc. What’s not to love?

After my fic-twin told me I should read Magnolia822′s work, I started from her earlier work, and read AQF last. You can see her improvements as writer in AQF, and her first fic was great – so this one is excellent. I do have a soft spot for stories where Bella and Edward have known each other their whole lives – and this one is up there with the best of those stories.

This story made me cry, laugh and broke my heart a little – it is a beautiful journey, where Edward and Bella have a connection that can’t be broken, and these are always the best stories!! I highly recommend this fic.

    Pros: Fabulous Plot, excellent writing
Cons: Will keep you up until 3am reading

Magnolia822 is one of the best storytellers of Twilight fanfiction, and if you aren’t reading her stuff, well, I’m really just not sure what you’re doing with your time. I agree with Ally in that I too have a soft spot for stories where Bella and Edward have known each other their whole lives, and so as such, A Quiet Fire was particularly appealing to me.

It’s a slow burn, so be prepared for that, and if there are any cons, I suppose I could say that it ends pretty abruptly (not in an unresolved sort of way, I was just left wanting more.) Also, I felt Jacob’s character was slightly underdeveloped.

This story contains quite a few flashbacks, and the author does a great job of making those transitions clear, concise, and relevant, which I find exceedingly rare and refreshing.

I will eagerly read anything that Magnolia822 writes. Once again, I was more than pleased with this little story. I was particularly impressed with her ability to capture the “voice” of an 11 year old girl so accurately. This is a must-read!

An absolutely wonderful story, beautifully told, which reduced this hardened old cynic to tears on at least one occasion. As ever, I’m unable to give it a star-rating, but if I could I would definitely give it 5 stars.

My favorite stories are those of young love lost and found again. This story fit the bill. It’s really well written and has a great plot and excellent character development.
