FAQs about the Twi-Fic Library
- Do you have a list of all the stories on this website?
- On the bottom Menu Bar, click on "Twi-Fic's Library Index." All the stories are listed by title alphabetically.
- How can I find a story by a particular author?
- Enter the author's pen name in the Search box found on the Home page in the left sidebar. You can search the entire site for anything.
- How do you decide which stories to include in the Twi-Fic Library?
- Twi-Fic Reviews includes all Twilight fanfiction multi-story chapters that are complete. We do not include "Works in Progress" (WIP) because we believe it is not possible to fairly and accurately critique a piece of fiction that is not finished. We do not include one-shots either simply because our library would be humongous; we had to draw the line somewhere. We have no method to our madness. We simply started by adding stories that we ourselves have read. Then we pulled completed stories from other fanfiction blog sources. Please let us know if there is a completed multi-chapter story that you would like us to add to the Library by clicking on the "Submit Story To Library" link on the bottom Menu Bar.
- My heart can't take any more angst. How can I find a fanfic that will make me laugh?
- On the left sidebar, you'll see a Heading that says "Searchable Tags." Just below that are the tag names. Click on the "Comedy" tag and all the comedies in our library database will come up for you to consider.
- The link to the story I want to read is broken. Where can I find the story?
- If the link doesn't work, most likely the author has pulled the story from the internet or has moved it to a different fanfiction website.
Please send us an email at admin@twific.net and let us know about broken links. If the story has been moved, we will add the new link. If the story has been pulled by the author, then it will be deleted from TwiFice Reviews. - Why do some stories have banners and others do not?
- We scour the internet to find banners to accompany each story. If a story does not have one, it's because we were unable to find one. If you see a story in our database without a banner and you have one, we'd appreciate it if you'd email it to us so we can add it.
- Why do you have a story listed on your site that has been pulled from the internet by the author?
- We try our best to stay apprised of stories that are pulled, but sometimes we miss one. If you know of such a story, please email us at admin@twific.net with the information, and we will pull it immediately.

FAQs about Rating and Reviewing Stories
- How do you expect me to write an honest review if I can't freely state what I liked or disliked about it?
- Suppose you felt that it was unrealistic and contrived when Bella broke up with Edward in a particular story. As a reader, you don't want to know in advance that Bella is going to break up with Edward...you want to be surprised by plot twists and developments. So instead of including the fact that they break up in your review, you could state that you felt that a certain plot development or that a certain character's reaction to something was unrealistic and was a plot contrivance by the author. Simply use generalizations rather than specifics. The purpose of Twi-Fic Reviews is to help readers find high-quality stories to read based on feedback from other readers and NOT based on how many reviews the story has received on fanfiction.net or how 'talked about' a story is. We want you to be able to read reviews by other readers to help you decide whether or not the story sounds appealing to you, but we don't want the story to be spoiled for you.
- How is the Top 10 calculated?
- Our Star Rating software uses a Bayesian rating system. Bayesian ratings prevent stories with a small number of potentially inaccurate rankings from ranking in especially high or low spots. For example, without Bayesian ratings, a story with only 2 five star ratings would outrank a story with 20 four star ratings and 1 five star rating. A story with a single one star rating would rank lower than a story with 20 two star ratings and 10 one star ratings.
Peridically, we have to adjust the settings so that it calculates properly. For example, the software needs to know how many ratings have been submitted (an average) per story for the our entire website. This changes constantly, of course, so as the site grows we will periodically adjust that number. If you notice rankings that look inaccurate, please let us know so we can check the settings on the software.
When there are multiple stories with the same cumulative rating, they are displayed in alphabetical order on the Top 10. - I finished reading a story and would like to rate and review it. What is the easiest way to find it in the Library?
- There are two ways to find the story. You can enter the story title in the Search box found on the right sidebar. Alternatively, you can search the Library Index which displays all stories alphabetically. Twi-Fic's Library Index is found on the top Menu Bar.
- I gave a story a star rating, but when I click submit, it won't accept it. Why?
- Our system requires some text in the Comment field in order to accept your star rating. If you don't want to write a more detailed review, simply type into the comment field something as brief as "I rec this" or "I don't rec this." Click the stars to assign the story a star rating, and then click Submit.
- I'd like to rate and review a story, but it isn't listed in the Library index. Why not?
- We add stories to our libary every day as quickly as we can. We'd be happy to add a story to our library per your request. Simply click on "Submit Story to Library" found on the top Menu Bar. Fill out the form and submit it. It will be added within a few days.
- Why don't you allow authors to comment on their own stories? I think they should have a voice and be able to defend their story.
- The administrators of this site believe that an author's work should speak for itself. Authors of published books do not get a forum in which to argue with critic's opinions of their book. Fanfic author's who read negative reviews of their story on this site should keep in mind that even bestselling author's often have those who do not enjoy their book. It's unrealistic to expect everyone to like every story.
Also, we want readers to feel comfortable expressing their honest opinion about a story, without worrying about the author reading it and then posting an angry response. Everyone has a right to their own opinion.
There are plenty of places on the internet (Twitter, Facebook, and various fanfic forums) where fanfic stories are "debated" and where author's can answer questions about their story, as well as "defend" the story if they feel so inclined. - Why was my review not posted in its entirety? Some of the sentences I wrote have been deleted.
- Most likely your review violated a Twi-Fic Reviews rule, and parts of it were edited out by moderators. We do not allow spoilers. We may not agree on what constitutes a spoiler, but the owners of Twi-Fic Reviews reserve the right to make that judgment. Also, we don't allow foul, inflammatory, or hateful language. If you didn't like a story and do not recommend it, by all means, state that clearly in your review. We want honesty, but honesty can be given tactfully.
